Court-Involved Individual & Family Services
Finding Clarity, Boundaries, and Stability Through Family Transitions
Navigating a high-conflict divorce, complex co-parenting challenges, or court mandates can leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. When family dynamics reach a legal intersection, it is easy for communication to break down and for children to get caught in the middle.
I provide a calm, highly structured, and objective space to help you step out of the conflict loop. Whether you are seeking court-appointed individual therapy, co-parenting counseling, or therapeutic supervised visitations, my goal is simple: to help you establish functional boundaries, protect your peace, and insulate your children from adult conflict.
How We Can Work Together
Court-Appointed Individual Psychotherapy
When the courts require individual therapy during domestic relations proceedings, it isn't about placing blame, it’s about building practical tools. We’ll focus on:
Managing the stress, anxiety, and emotional toll of active litigation.
Developing strong emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills.
Building healthy, boundaried communication habits that serve you and your children long-term.
Co-Parenting Counseling
When ongoing friction makes co-parenting feel overwhelming, I help you shift the focus away from past adult conflict and toward a shared future for your children. The goal is to help both parents build a cooperative, aligned framework. We’ll focus on:
Creating a United Front: Helping parents align on core parenting strategies, consistent household rules, and shared expectations in the best interests of the child.
De-Escalating Conflict: Developing practical communication tools and de-escalation skills to handle disagreements constructively and safely.
Building a Functional Parenting Relationship: Establishing clear, respectful boundaries and predictable routines that foster ongoing collaboration.
Insulating Children: Protecting children from adult tension by helping both parents present a stable, supportive environment across both households.
Note: Sessions may begin individually with each parent to establish safety and goals before transitioning into joint, productive co-parenting meetings.
Therapeutic Supervised Visitations
I offer a safe, supportive, and objective environment for child-parent visitations. My approach focuses on:
Supporting and strengthening the parent-child bond in a calm, controlled setting.
Providing objective, supportive observation to ensure physical and emotional safety.
Offering constructive, real-time feedback to help parents build positive parenting habits.
What to Expect: The Process & Boundaries
We know that legal processes can feel confusing. Here is how my practice maintains fairness, neutrality, and clarity for everyone involved:
I do not take sides, nor do we act as advocates for either parent. My commitment is to remain entirely objective, fair, and focused on healthy family functioning.
When authorized by a release, I provide factual, objective updates to Guardians Ad Litem (GALs), Child Representatives, and attorneys.
To protect your care and keep things transparent, I required written communication via email or the client portal messaging for all scheduling and logistical updates.
All court-involved services are managed under a straightforward, same-day fee agreement so there are never any financial surprises or hidden costs.
